Job Description

THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a Supply and Inventory Specialist to support an upcoming contract at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) in Newport, RI. An ideal candidate will be proficient with NUWC/Navy/DoD supply and inventory systems, and prior experience supporting inventory management in a DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation for provisioning, replenishment, and supply support items (i.e., spares and repair parts, Maintenance Assistance Modules (MAM) and tools).
  • Develop and deliver Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) and Supplemental Provisioning Technical Documentation (SPTD).
  • Review and recommend changes to supply support coding (Acquisition Method Coding (AMC); Acquisition Method Suffix Code (AMSC); Source, Maintenance and Recoverability (SM&R) Codes; Mission Essentiality Codes (MECs); Mission Criticality Codes (MCC); and Control Inventory Item Codes (CIIC)).
  • Conduct inventories of Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) and General Equipment. Physically receive, inspect, and ensure proper documentation. Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment quantities.
  • Generate available ERP LX02 inventory reports from ERP.
  • Generate Material Transfer Requests (MTR) for material deliveries and shipments.
  • Monitor Pre-Expended Bin (PEB) inventory levels, demand frequency, and recommend replenishment quantities.
  • Enter data into the Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) Reporting System in the following four modules: Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), Supply Deficiency Reports (SDRs), Material Inspection Reports (MIRs), and Contract Award and Delivery (CAD)).
  • Research available IPS supply support data sources and provide recommendations for changes to PTD resulting from Allowance Change Requests (ACRs), Fleet Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) Feedback Reports (FCFBR), and other Fleet generated supply issues.

Location: Full time onsite at NUWC Newport in Newport, RI.

Typical Physical Activities: Position may entail physical labor in a warehouse environment as well as desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: kneeling, lifting, reaching, repetitive motion.

Existing Secret Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance.

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years, and ideally at least five (5) years of recent, relevant experience providing supply support and inventory management in a NAVSEA, Navy, or similar DoD environment.
  • Experience with Navy supply and inventory systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) and Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP).
  • Experience working with Material Transfer Requests (MTRs) and monitoring Pre-Expended Bin (PEB) inventory levels.
  • Proficiency with common productivity software including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
