Description

Creative Environment Corporation (CEC), a division of The RISE Group, is a Mechanical/Electrical engineering consulting firm that specializes in the design of commercial and institutional building systems. We currently have an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will provide CAD/design support and assist with the preparation of drawings with the assistance of senior level mechanical designers and engineers. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to meet the deadline driven nature of our work.

Mechanical Designer Job Functions:

May include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with maintaining company CAD Standards

  • Project CAD files set-up

  • Supervision of entry-level CAD & Revit users as applicable

  • Plotting and electronic file submissions

  • Archive completed projects

  • Oversee the preparation of drawings based on verbal direction and redline drawings

  • Preparation of CAD files for project closeout

  • Revit modeling including the creation of Revit families

  • Supervise a team of Designers and Drafters

  • Develop and train Designers and Drafters with in-house training seminars

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited program. PE Desired.

  • Ability to apply engineering principles including, but not limited to: heat transfer, fluid dynamics, incompressible flow, thermodynamics, hydrostatics, economics and engineering ethics.

  • Mechanical design experience and CAD drafting, both AutoCAD and Revit

  • Willingness to learn AutoCAD and Revit software packages is required.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with project managers, engineers, designers and other team members.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.

  • Attention to detail and willingness to apply innovative thinking.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
