Now hiring HVAC Installation Supervisor - $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS - $80K- $100K.

As the INSTALLATION MANAGER, you will lead and work on large commercial, industrial, and residential projects in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. You are responsible for the planning and execution of all mechanical construction project activities. You will represent the eyes and ears of the project team during active installations at a Job Site, communicating technical information, reinforcing high quality workmanship, and positively leading multiple crews in dynamic & sometimes complicated work environments. You will use a high level of competency in a broad spectrum of mechanical activities, to instruct others in a clear and coherent manner, while maintaining your own mechanical abilities to be used in a limited capacity when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct management of installation team
  • Supervision and Installation of HVAC equipment including pipefitting and ductwork
  • Oversee multiple job sites at the same time, assignment of anticipated Start and End Dates
  • Coordinate work in the field with multiple trades
  • Manage equipment and tool purchases and use
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of HVAC System Start Ups & Testing are submitted
  • Develop, in collaboration with Project Management and Engineering, detailed Installation Plans for all required Project Tasks, to be utilized as follows:
  • Comprehensive Work Breakdown by Phase and Area of a Project
  • Allocation of Installation Hours Relative to the Project Budget
  • Weekly Reporting on Estimated Completion of Tasks, Tracking Estimated Completion vs Project Budget
  • Identification of Opportunities and Requirements to Adjust Staffing based on Anticipated Progress & Deadlines
  • Communication with Purchasing, Project Management, & Engineering for procurement, shipping, and receiving
  • Provide Labor and Material Estimates to Project Management for Requested Scope Changes

Technical

  • Ability to read and communicate information from MEP Drawings, As Built Drawings, Schematic Drawings, Full Scale Drawings Equipment Operations & Maintenance Documents, etc.
  • Competency in Technology use for Microsoft Windows and Office including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook, & iOS/Android Mobile Devices
  • Continuous engagement with Project Managers to understand constraints, & allowances of Mechanical Installation necessary to adhere to process requirements

Safety & Physical Demands

  • Daily OHSA Pre-Work Safety Meetings & Check with on-site crew
  • Enforcement of all Safety Standards as outlined within Thielsch Engineering's Safety Policy
  • Manage and Coordinate Customer required documentation, forms, safety regulations and site rules
  • Maintenance of OSHA 10 Hour Training
  • Ability to lift weight up to 40lbs in both a vertical and horizontal range of motion, as needed.
  • Ability to crawl, stoop, stand, reach (push/pull) & bend as needed
  • Ability to drive and walk around on job sites, indoor and outdoor environments
  • Ability to ascend or descend on extension ladders, step ladders and stairs using feet and/or hands and arms, as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Masters License in Pipefitting, Refrigeration, and/or Sheetmetal license
  • 10+ years' experience in Commercial and Industrial environments
  • Experience with commercial HVAC Installation including pipefitting, sheet metal, and refrigeration trades
  • Experience with coordinating work in the field with multiple trades
  • Experience with start & test of HVAC systems
  • Excellent communication skills including computer skills, read plans and specs, order jobsite materials, coordinate with other trades in the field
