WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) ...

Assists the Director of Adult Services clinically and administratively with responsibilities of the Adult Services programs. Provides oversight or delegates to Program Coordinators all aspects of program management, service delivery, performance monitoring and program evaluation and supervision. Ensures and monitors performance of program staff aimed at positive outcomes for clients and families. Participates in NMH's Administrator-on-Call system. Represents the Adult Services Program in leadership meetings and Center wide committees that include Quality Improvement Council, Center-wide Clinical Disposition, CSS Supervisors Meeting and Planning Team.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides clinical supervision to core clinical staff in collaboration with the Director of Adult Services
  • Management of behavioral health clinical services for adults
  • Manage service plans, contracts, and program budgets.
  • Coordinating emergency assessments, safe hospital diversionary activities & community referrals and placements.
  • Applying knowledge and skill in crisis intervention circumstances
  • Plan, organize and evaluate the Adult Services clinical service plans and conduct program evaluation.
  • Overseeing required data collection, analysis, aggregation, and use of performance improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to build and leverage community and state resources.
  • Working collaboratively with sister agencies and multidisciplinary teamwork.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...

  • Master's degree in social work or related field
  • Must be certified as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
  • Meets criteria for 'Qualified Mental Health Professional' as defined by BHDDH .
  • 2-5 years of professional behavioral health supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health program management and clinical supervision.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders as defined by APA (DSM 5 - TR).
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Rhode Island Mental Health Law
  • Knowledge of admission eligibility criteria to inpatient adult psychiatric units in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Knowledge of adult risk assessment instruments and mental status examination.
  • Knowledge of laws related to rights, confidentiality, and abuse.
  • Knowledge of health insurance plans, benefits, and referral process.
