Description

As the HVAC Project Manager (Residential Het Pumps), you will be the key person overseeing Heat Pump activities in the RISE Residential division. Your main responsibilities include creating and selling heat pump projects, overseeing the installation crews to ensure quality control, and developing the HVAC team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site assessments at residential homes to accurately design heat pump systems for single family and multifamily projects.
  • Designing heat pump systems utilizing manual j heat load calculation tools.
  • Coordinate heat pump projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide clear instructions and expectations to subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Regularly communicate with subcontractors to track progress, address concerns, and maintain a collaborative working relationship.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure heat pump systems are installed to meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Develop and manage a network of qualified subcontractors to join our team of installation partners.
  • Hire, develop, and train supporting staff as needed.

Work Environment:

This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as on a variety of job sites. Position will entail exposure to outside work as well as sedentary work.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may periodically include nights and weekends and overtime may be requested as determined by the needs of the department.

Travel:

Frequent local travel expected for this position. Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 5 years' experience in the HVAC industry with proven experience in residential HVAC sales, service, and project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, codes, and regulations.
  • Experience with Wrightsoft, Coolcalc, or other load calculation software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
