Job Description

Summary:

The Program Supervisor under the direction of the Program Director is responsible for planning and management of the peer support group program and summer camp supervising the 50 volunteers and interns who facilitate the groups.

Responsibilities:

Plan curriculum and activities to meet group and camp goals coordinating implementation activities and necessary materials for each age group.

Conduct intakes of new families to determine readiness and availability reviewing findings with Program Director.

Assist Program Director in training new volunteer facilitators.

Coordinate the on-boarding and annual recertification of volunteers to ensure completion of required clearances and immunizations.

Supervise volunteer facilitators and student interns coordinating schedules ongoing support needs and performance feedback.

Communicate regularly with families regarding schedules and activities.

Oversee each evening session conducting pre and post facilitator meetings and assisting with any group activities as needed.

Order food for the meal and organize volunteer servers.

Maintain a safe environment conducive to the goals of the program.

Coordinate group and camp budget managing the petty cash funds and materials purchasing.

Assist in coordinating family events including the summer fun day and holiday party.

Conduct annual evaluation of child progress program goals and family satisfaction.

Assist Executive Director in writing and reporting on foundation grants.

Maintain family database and files communicating regularly with Development Associate.

Work with the Program Director to develop new program directions and initiatives.

EDUCATION

Master*s Degree in Human Service Field with pathway to independent licensure (Counseling Social Work Marriage & Family)

EXPERIENCE

Training and/or experience in understanding of the grief process required.

Leadership Skills * Ability to engage and motivate volunteers in working towards mission of the agency.

Communication Skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Organizational Skills * ability to complete tasks in an organized manner with attention to prioritizing detail and timeliness.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to perform math operations and financial systems for budgeting.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
