Job Description

Summary:

The Pediatric Anxiety Research Center (PARC) at Bradley Hospital (located in East Providence RI and affiliated with the Brown Medical School) is looking for a full-time clinical research assistant for a research project focused on increasing treatment options for youth with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Research duties may include consenting patients and families scheduling participants for assessments data entry and analysis behavioral coding of exposure treatment sessions collaboration with community partners and stakeholder groups preparing submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and drafting study progress reports for study sponsor. Aiding in study recruitment and developing innovative recruitment strategies is an important role of the research assistant. Clinical responsibilities may include screening research participants administering ratings scales behavioral coding of exposure treatment sessions and administering diagnostic interviews to study participants.


Participation in multidisciplinary discussions regarding research design and implementation is expected. Mentorship from psychologists and opportunities to assist in writing scientific articles for publication and grant submissions are provided. A strong academic record is essential and past research experience is desirable.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:


*A bachelor's degree or higher preferably in psychology human biology neuroscience or related fields
*Excellent computer and communication (verbal and written) skills
*Past experience of hands-on involvement in a research project
*A career interest in clinical psychology or a related field
*Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications
* Strong organizational & interpersonal skills.
*The ability to work well with children and parents
*A willingness to tackle complex tasks in an independent manner
*A strong sense of responsibility towards work

Current CPR ERS OSHA and Safety certification.
