WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) ...

The Director of Workforce Development, Clinical Training and Fidelity is responsible for the Workforce Development Department's overall operation of NMH's clinical training and fidelity initiatives. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of workforce strategies, onboarding processes for clinical staff, and clinical training to support NMH's mission, values, and quality person-centered behavioral health services.

The position will provide system re-engineering, technical assistance, training, mentoring, coaching, implementation planning and oversight of NMH's Evidence-Based Practice fidelity needs. The Director will also lead initiatives to promote clinical staff retention, professional development, and organizational culture.

Essential Duties:

  • Builds a shared vision with NMH staff and acts as a positive catalyst of organizational change and growth.
  • Develop and implement workforce development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coordinates CCBHC and other grants evidenced-based practices initiatives and budget planning.
  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and/or providing training in practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Care, Trauma-Informed Care, and the Zero Suicide approach. Responsible for management of evidence-based practice fidelity monitoring and providing fidelity coaching to NMH clinical staff.
  • Assess training effectiveness through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, adjusting as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members to enhance their professional growth and development.
  • Stay updated on, best practices, evidenced-based practices, CCBHC/other grants, and regulations related to workforce development.
  • Provides leadership in collaboration with COO and program management staff to guide, coach and teach staff in person-centered recovery-based care.
  • Provide supervision to NMH's interns pursuing a master's degree in clinical practice and staff pursuing licensure.
  • Collaboration with various departments to identify clinical training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Manage a team of fidelity coaches and fidelity project assistants to support NMH in achieving and maintaining fidelity to its evidence-based practices and programs.
  • Co-leader and active member of NMH's Zero Suicide Committee.
  • Coordinate with Director of Workforce Development and Grant's Project Manager consistently.
  • Helps to make NMH a welcoming place for employment and service provision.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...

  • Master's degree in a clinical discipline required.
  • Clinical Licensure in the state of Rhode Island (e.g., LCSW, RN) preferred.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years of clinical experience within a behavioral health facility or other related healthcare setting.
  • Must have experience in principles, practice of teaching, etc.
  • Must demonstrate competencies and experience with adult and children's evidence-based practices for serious emotional disorders, and adults with serious mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
