Position: Partnership Marketing Coordinator, Digital Marketing and Content Creation
Reports to: Director of Partnership Marketing
Summary:
The Partnership Marketing Coordinator, Digital Marketing and Content Creator, will develop and manage multimedia content for US Sailing partners, including social media, photo, short-form video, and website content. This position works closely with US Sailing partners, the Director of Marketing Communications, the Director of Partnership Marketing, the Media and Communications Coordinator, the US Sailing Team Media and Communications Coordinator, the Web Manager, the Graphic Designer/Brand Manager, and other department directors and staff. This position will be responsible for creating, from concept to execution, creative assets for US Sailing partners and managing their project and production schedules, as well as providing annual partner content reports.
Position Description & Responsibilities:
  • Manage partner asset fulfillment according to contractual obligations and interests
  • Develop and pitch creative asset proposals and provide regular updates to US Sailing partners
  • Assist with creating new content assets as part of new partner contracts
  • Serve as social media content creator, photographer, videographer, and editor for US Sailing partner creative assets as well as US Sailing major events and programs
  • Work with partners and other organizations on collaborative social media projects
  • Attend events, be responsible for all partner elements, and serve as a public presence of US Sailing
  • Help in managing US Sailing's b-roll and still image archive and distribute content when needed to partners and staff
  • Work closely with Media and Communications Coordinators to align social media production
  • Assist in managing partner logos and branding, including on and off the water branding programs, USST gear and hull/sail branding
  • Assist in enforcing USST's Commercial Agreements with athletes, working in conjunction with Media and Communications Coordinators
  • Source and manage third party content contracts when needed
  • Create Press release materials to announce Partnerships and promote news

Position Requirements & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in social media creation and distribution. US Sailing is seeking an individual who is creative and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be highly organized and understand the importance of timely execution and delivery of assets. The candidate will have experience working with outside vendors. Sailing industry experience is preferred but not necessary.

Key skills and capabilities:
  • Creative. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to create professional social media assets for US Sailing events and programs.
  • Social Media. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to execute on-site social media campaigns and deliver multimedia assets through social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Communications. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills to ensure that social media, photo, and short-form video content needs for US Sailing partners, programs, services, and products are properly understood, and that the assets created accurately represent the vision and needs of their respective partners, staff, and departments. An ability to interact with partners and pitch ideas is required. Strong writing and editing skills are required.
  • Management and Organization. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to organize and manage US Sailing's contracts and still imagery and b-roll archives.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work as a team player
  • Experience shooting stills and video in a challenging marine environment is a plus
  • Must be skilled in using professional level multimedia editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, Canva, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier
  • Must be aware of social media trends
  • Sound Editing and color correction experience is a plus
  • Must be fluent in all Microsoft Outlook applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat, photo editing and web design/maintenance programs, and iOS
  • Must be experienced with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Must be able to represent US Sailing well when interacting with partners, sailors, coaches, donors, event organizers, and officials
  • Must possess the highest integrity and values consistent with those of US Sailing
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends and nights (as needed)
  • Ability to travel 10-25%( summer and fall months being the busiest)
  • Knowledge of competitive sailing is a plus
