Summary
Performs a wide variety of duties relating to the special educational needs of assigned patients during hospitalization. Provides services to children and adolescents.
Responsibilities
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor*s degree in special education; certification from the Rhode Island Department of Education (to include levels of handicapped certification appropriate to the hospital*s population).
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year teaching experience.
