Summary:
Under general supervision of the Manager Data Center Operations the candidate will oversee all systems projects ensuring all deadlines and goals are met install and maintain all internal operating systems software. Develop logic code test and debug computer programs. Assist Applications System Analysts system programmers operators and others in resolving complex internal control systems problems.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all systems projects to ensure strategic guidelines are in place and that any goals to be met will do so in a professional manner.



Responsible for installing and maintaining complex systems software including assemblers compilers link editors subroutines and job control .



Modify Test debug install and maintain vendor-supplied utilities packages and engineering releases for all operating systems.



Guide personnel in the use of system software and linkage to application programs.



Support Information services personnel in problem determination involving systems software and hardware.



Oversee maintain and troubleshoot system programs; review reported malfunctions to identify and correct referring to operations software and other manuals to research problems. Contact vendors and others as necessary to resolve problems which are usually complex.



Maintain integrity of system*s database editing and initiating corrections.



Generate operating system and determine parameters to be utilized at each step of generation.



Document all systems programming activities and prepare run instructions for operators to follow when recovering from systems problems.



Participate in councils quality improvement teams and other such committees as required.



Maintain quality assurance safety environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies procedures and objectives.



Perform other related duties as required.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:

Equivalent to Bachelor*s degree in Management or related field required. A combination of Data Center/ Network/Data Telecommunications-related technical leadership Data Center training and successively increased Data Center management responsibility may substitute for a degree.



EXPERIENCE:

Five years progressively responsible systems programming experience.
