Job Summary

Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment while minimizing production downtime.

Essential Functions

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment and systems to ensure proper function within specifications.
• Perform simple to complex repairs, calibrations, and modifications of equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of equipment failures and apply corrective actions.
• Resolve equipment breakdowns in efforts to minimize downtime.
• Perform rebuilds, installations, and upgrades.
• Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
• Work with Production and Manufacturing Engineers on projects for machine protypes and/or process improvements.
• Document completed work and diagnoses utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary.
• Training co-workers on departments processes, as well and equipment.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required or
• Equivalent. required and
• Technical degree in related field required
• Minimum three years of experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.

• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge on pneumatic systems, with an in-depth understanding of valves, solenoids, fittings, cylinders, etc.
• Ability to understand and read pneumatic diagrams.
• Knowledge on automated machinery, controlled by HMI/PLC controls.
• Expertise in electrical systems, specifically heaters, thermocouples, temperature controllers, etc.
• Ability to understand and read electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in the use of email, Internet, and Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands

• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
