About the Role:

They will be the primary contact for external HCPs (Health Care Providers) and employees for review and approval of education grants including independent educational grants, exhibit requests, fellowships, professional organization fees and charitable donations. This role would be responsible for managing the quality and document control process for all requests ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external guidelines prior to submitting for approval by the committee. They will be responsible for management and correspondence with the organizations and individuals seeking funding from the company. In addition to above, they will also be responsible for the tracking and payments associated with Investigator Sponsorship Research (ISR).

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Responsible for gathering all necessary input from requestors, gaining an understanding of the program and its alignment to the business, summarizing historical sponsorship (s) and presenting the request to the Grant committee for sponsorship decisions.
  • Efficient management, coordination and facilitation of monthly Grants with senior level committee members
  • Manages meeting schedules to ensure timely decisions of Grants
  • Collaborates with members of HCP Operations, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Compliance, Regulatory, and other internal stakeholders
  • Communicates Grant process, documentation requirements and committee decisions (approvals and denials of funding) to requesting institutions and select internal stakeholders.
  • Thoroughly understands BSC policies relative to Grants/ISRs.
  • Proactively recommends policy and process revisions that are beneficial to the business
  • Management of proprietary and confidential communication and information requiring independent judgment and discretion.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of applications, agendas, meeting outputs and letters of agreement for Grant payments.
  • Manages Grants/ISR mailbox with timely responses
  • Populates and maintains business unit's records regarding meeting decisions, action items and ensure follow-up of all outstanding items for committee's final decision.
  • Supports Grants/ISRs payments function by providing information to enable timely payment of checks or Electronic Funds Transfer
  • Maintains Grant/ISR database and assists with technical aspects, maintenance, operations and application of the software.
  • Uses independent judgment and discretion in determining approval or denial of exhibit grants that are within approval authority limits.
  • In collaboration with business functional areas, may order BSC product for educational conferences.
  • Provides ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Conducts BSC training on company policies and procedures regarding Grants/ISRs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Minimum 3+ years of related work experience
  • Experience working with compliance
  • Experience hosting and presenting online meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device industry experience strongly preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Proven strengths in methodical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with Blackbaud, Ideapoint, and Sharepoint
